Why
is the program called UZC?
UZC stands
for Ultimate ZIP Cracker. Our program was initially
created to recover ZIP file passwords. After much success
in research and development regarding passwords, we
extended our powerful password recovery engine to work
with with other popular programs.

What
File Types Can I Recover Passwords For?
You
can recover files for the following programs:
Microsoft Word documents - this
is the .doc file type
Microsoft-Excel documents - this
is the .xls file type
ZIP Files- this is the .zip file type
created by Windows XP, PKZIP, Win Zip or by any compatible
software.
ARJ Files- This is .arj file type created

How
long does it take to recover my password?
The
time depends on the exact length of the password, and
the the type of password.
For example a dictionary word 5 characters, can recover
quickly whereas a 8 digit complicated password can take
longer. Some very complicated password recovery methods
can take days or even weeks.
Our clients on average report fast search time. But
this overall depends on the complexity of the password.

What
does the software do to find my password?
In
most cases there is no way to instantly recover or decode
a password.
Our software was designed to use the most powerful methods
available to search possible passwords.
Our
method is to try many different passwords, and use different
methods to find the password.
The great ability of our product is that it can search
up to millions of possible passwords per second.

What kind of password searches does UZC have?
Our top encryption experts have developed what we believe to me the best tools to recover a password.
The first, simplest search method consists of testing of all possible passwords. This method is called a 'Brute Force attack'. A Brute Force will try all possible passwords.
Other methods include:
- Password Wizard
This method combines several simple search methods. The Password Wizard is highly recommended when you are using the Ultimate ZIP Cracker for the very first time.
- Smart search
This method also can be called a 'Human factor' search. For example, if your recall that your password was a pronounceable combination of English letters without numbers then the Smart search can find your password faster.
- Dictionary search
You can use the dictionary of more than 214,000 words to search for the password. Different case combinations and word mutations are available. Also you can use your own dictionary (this can be any text file).
- Date search
More than 5,000 date formats are used to generate password strings for a given date range.
- Customized search
In most cases you remember the way you created the password. Say, your name + some number. Or some garbled word surrounded by two characters - ^perfume&. Use this information to construct your search template. The template can be saved in a file and loaded back later.
- Plaintext attack
This method will decrypt your whole encrypted ZIP file if you have another unencrypted ZIP file (called plaintext file) which contains at least one file from the encrypted archive. Click 'Find' to locate the plaintext file automatically. When finished decryption the program will try to decode the password, or, if you wish, will write the decrypted file to the disk.

What exactly is Guaranteed Decryption?
This means we guarantee we will find your password.
How you ask?
Technically speaking each password you enter is translated
(converted) into another format.
This format is technically called a key. The key is
encoded into 5-bytes (40 bits) that is then used to
encrypt the document body. The Ultimate ZIP Cracker
will test all possible key values to find a valid one.
This is not the same as a BRUTE FORCE search where we
try all possible passwords. The number of possible passwords
is much bigger. For instance, the number of character
combinations in a 10-characters alpha-digital password
is 839,299,365,868,340,224. In addition, the
key testing is 3 times faster! Compare this to the number
of keys: 1,099,511,627,776.
Our guaranteed decryption will find your password. In
the most complicated of cases, it can take up to 1 month
to find.

What are the limits of the free download?
The
Free downloadable trial version is a fully functional
version of the Ultimate ZIP Cracker. The only
exception is that the passwords longer than 5 characters
in length are not shown. To prove that the passwords
are actually detected the program allows you to view
the beginning of each encrypted file. You can then purchase
the password recovered by the downloaded trial version
of Ultimate ZIP Cracker in the online store.
At the end of the search after the password is found
(so you know that you
will actually receive your password!) you will
be prompted to go to the online store

Can I see screen captures of the program?
What are the system requirements to run the software ?
A Windows 95/98/NT/2000/XP, Pentium class processor is preferred with 128 mbs of RAM.
(back

How much is the program?
The program is $99.95 but for Internet users the price
as been marked on sale to $45.00 for an electronic downloadable
version?
